Special Education Teachers... Really Educated?

Ghazali was being pinned down by Teacher S on Thursday.
All STEP teachers were in our programme meeting held in the conference room.
The meeting dragged all the way till 1pm due to some disagreements on the new placement plans.
Because of the meeting,we were not able to pick our students, who arrived in the school bus early, up.
Ghazali was one of the students who arrived early on Thursdays.
He could not wait for Nyx,who was relieving Desmond that day.
He wanted to go straight to class and struggled with Teacher S.
Teacher S was having her mood swings due to teh cramps she was having.
She pinned Ghazali down and he was crying in frustration.
Tears and mucus were all over him.
We,STEP teachers were taught to be ASD-friendly.
We do not use force or get physical with the children who needs special attention.
Though we are not very knowlegeable in what EIPIC and PCMH does,we respect their students just as much as ours.
Why can't they do the same?
Because they aren't their students?or because they do not understand the culture of autism?
Being a special school that catered to children with 3 or more different types of disabilities,I feel that all teachers should be educated in the various disabilities, not just what we specialised in.
It is very unsightly for parents to see a teacher pinning down a student, not respecting the culture of the disability.
What if Ghazali's mother was there? How would she feel, watching her child being pinned down, not being understood?
