a professional bummer...

Nothing inspirational to blog about.
So I'm just gonna blabber some mundane stuff.

Was in Taiwan for a week.
Fell sick just 2 days before the trip.
Man i was on the verge of cursing and swearing.
Of all times.
Started coughing and having flu the following morning.
Good thing the flu stopped by evening.

A fren drove us down to Labrador then to Punggol.
Wanted to stay awake throughout, but there was nothing to keep me occupied.
So i hit the bed around 3.45am then had to wake up at 4am.
A wake-up call didn't help much.
Counted 1-10 (missed out 4, according to my fren) and my head fell flat on my pillow again.
Reset my alarm to 15 minutes later.
And when it was time to wake up, I had to drag myself outta bed.

Didn't have time or appetite for breakfast.
Rushed down to the airport.
Good thing i was still early.

Had to go through a body search at the check point.
Damn, i feel so outraged.

On board, Junna simply irritated the hell outta me.
Refused to let me sleep, for fear that my insomnia would disrupt her sleep at night.
The movie selections were pathetic.
Tried to stay awake watchin Ratatouille.
It was barely 10 mins of the show and i knocked out.
Flu started again, probably due to the high altitude and change in climate.

7 days in Taiwan was pretty enjoyable.
The scenic sights didn't really interest me, visits to the temple and designer boutiques bored me.
Simply loved shopping at the night markets.
Things were going dirt cheap, and that's when i learnt how to slash prices.
First time bargaining, pretty fun.
And it was easy slashing the prices, all you need to do is smile or manja a bit to the shop owners, be it male or female.
Uh huh...don't get the wrong idea...i don't mean flirting eh.

Shilin was my favourite stop.
Great shopping, great food.
I ate everything that i shouldn't be eating when i was sick.
Couldn't possibly betray my stomach.
Finally got to taste Fremented Beancurd.
It sure tasted like sewage, but the one that we tried wasn't as unbearable as others.
The Bubble Tea & XXL Chicken Cutlet tasted way better than those in Singapore.

Had cup noodles almost everyday.
It's a must try!
You can't get such good instant food in Singapore.

Managed to knock out completely for the first 2 nights.
Subsequent nights, I had problems sleeping.
And when i dozed off, I started murmuring.
The girls thought I was talking in my sleep.
I could hear myself murmuring subconsciously, but i just couldn't control it.
And i kept waking up in the middle of the night.

Each time we boarded the coach, it was easy to doze off.
Tried to stay awake so that i will feel sleepy at night.
But my eyeslids were simply too heavy.

Long hours on the coach caused my right knee to hurt again.
My knees were at 90 degrees for too long, especially when we spent 10 hours on the road to Hualian.
Had problems straightening and bending my knee.

There was a wider selection of movies on our flight back to Singapore.
Manged to catch No Reservations but kept dozing off during Hairspray.
Good thing AJ was here to pick us up.
Else I wouldn't know how to get all my loot back home.
