MacRitchie Hike

Met the rainbow girls for a hike.
weather's great,bright & sunny.
a paranoid mEiYan wore long sleeves blouse & long pants for fear of insect bites.haha...kRys said she looked like she was going to a different place from us.
saw many monkeys hangin around,a few cute baby monkeys,mother monkey was breast-feedin her young.
eSta stoop down to search for her camera in her bag.as she was rummagin thro' her stuff,the monkeys were comin' closer to her.eSta screamed.
barks from a golden retriever & beagle scared the guts outta monkeys.
quite a number of students from various junior colleges were there to canoe.
we continued our journey.
mEiYan was startin to feel hungri & was cravin' for macs breakfast,unaware that we would finish our hike ard noon.
it was a pretty relaxin walk...
as we walked on,mEiYan was like "Careful!got mud!"
kRys:"Eeee....arghhh...got butterfly!"
we had a great deal of fun chattin,teasin each other,luffin our heads off...
didn't really get to see the interestin animals or insects the reserve has.
only got to see a couple of nice butterflies & a komodo dragon/iguana?
aniwae...



caught sight of a monkey in front of a signboard...is it tryin to read?
HA!we were dead wrong...it was actualli eyein at the berries among the bushes.




are we anywhere near the trail?




finalli got to the treetop trail by HSBC.
we had a bird's eye view of the reserve from the height.
kRys was busi talkin to jiAni,while walkin across the bridge.
didn't see the woodpecker...blah blah...they mentioned.
it was a one-way bridge...no turnin back...a very narrow bridge,had to walk in a single line.
we crossed the bridge,had to climb up a great flight of stairs...then go down again...
like wat mAria told me bout hikin..."whenever there's UP.there's bound to be DOWN"
most of us were hungri by the time we started walkin' back to the resevoir.

came to a point where we had to decide on which path to take.read the signs with doubts.finalli decided to take the seemed-to-be-deserted route.walked past a couple of wells...

me:"oh...sssshhhh...,no..dun take pictures of that!"kind eeerie...
sHaron:"haha,so many wells for sadako...."or smthg like dat....
finalli got back to the reservoir at bout 12plus....
could not wait for lunch man...we were starvin...
cravin' for KFC...all our workout gone to waste...
headed down to nOvena Sq for KFC while eSta headed to cLementi staDium for a game of badminton.
