Day 1

Touched down in Melbourne at around 0630.
It was chilly, we caught a flu.
Seemed like our flu vaccine was useless!
Hung around till it was time to head on for my cousin’s place.

Dumped our bags and went for coffee.
Booked our daily tours at AAT Kings.
Great Ocean Road, Mount Buller, Philips Island, Puffing Billy +
Wineries and free City Tour.
Busy week we’ve got!
Checked into Ibis Hotel then went to Lygon Street for lunch.
My camera froze & couldn’t be used for some time.
We walked pass Luna Park and took a walk down St. Kilda’s Beach.
Dinner at Nandos.
Delicious Chickies they’ve got.

Day 2

Great Ocean Road.
We went pass the Town of Geelong, its airport.
Our first stop was Torquay, the house of Ripcurl & other surf brands.
Too bad we were there too early, Few shops were opened.
Had devonshire tea & scones at Coffex.
We hit on the road again towards GOR.
Stopped at a few scenic places to snap.
We were quite fortunate; it was a pretty wet weather & it rained only when we were on the coach.
7 and a half out of 12 apostles left.
There may not be any left in 20 years time…
Stopped by London Bridge & caught other beautiful rock formations.
Our last stop was at Port Campbell.
It was freaking cold, the seagulls there were freezing on the rocks.
Dinner at Your Thai, the Tom Yum Noodles….shiok man.

Day 3

Mount Buller!
To the snow mountains!
We set off super early cos of the long journey.
Headed on to Azburg Resort to rent our ski gear.
We had Nicholas Cage lookalike to fit our ski boots onto our skis.
The ski boots were so uncomfortable, my shins were hurting.
Then way up to Mount Buller.
Parked our skis on the rack and bought our tix.
It was a steal!
We paid half price for our ski lessons and unlimited ski lifts!
It was snowing heavily.
I hated my ski instructor, so fierce and unfriendly. Urphmm!
We departed at 1630 and it was turning dark soon.
Had dinner at The Hotel.
Met my cousin for Gelato.
We’re freaking nuts, but the Gelato was too nice to give it a miss.Freezing with every mouthful of it.

Long but fun day we had.
I was aching all over the next morning.

Day 4

Warook Cattle Farm & Philip Island.
Wah liew…there were mines everywhere lor…
Kept stepping on dung.
We bought Kangaroo feeds.
Some of the kangaroos rejected the food, they probably eat the same shit everyday.
One of them was cute; I was busy posing for the cameo and my hand holding the feed wasn’t still. The Kangaroo pulled my hand
closer to his mouth with its paw.
We went to the Koala Reserve.
Nothing much. The Koalas were so lazy and hiding away from the cameras.
We left for Philip Island.
It was freezing. No joke.
Some folks bought blankets to keep themselves warm.

Day 5

Puffing Billy & Wineries
We stooped at the dandenongs for Billy Bush Tea.
It was amazing how Don could swing the tin of tea without spilling it.
And how the tea leaves in the tea disappeared after the swings.
Had my first taste of Vegemite…
Yewww…salty & weird.
Cheap thrill, but it was really enjoyable to ride on the steam train.
It’s like riding on Percy The Train.

We were given old-fashioned train tix.
We rode thro’ the forests.
At the end of the ride, we found traces of coal on us.
Next stop was lunch at Fergussons Winery.
We had roast lunch and wine tastings.
We also stopped by Rochford Wineries where a connoisseur taught us how to appreciate wine.
And not forgetting Chandon, owned by Louis Vuitton.
They were supposed to bring us round the winery and see the production.
However, due to renovations, we were deprived from the opportunity.
We headed straight for Melbourne Central as soon as we returned to the city.
I could not resist the fanciful doughnuts from Donut King.
Bought a box of it.
Then we headed for Krispy Kreme!
Bought a dozen of Doughnuts.
We polished off the 2 dozens of doughnuts in 4 days.
Feeling fat now…

Day 6

City Tour.
It was super boring.
We basically spend most of the time on the coach.
We went to Cooks Cottage and stopped by Botanical Gardens to go the Shrine of Remembrance.
I was so disappointed that I did not have time to search for the Fairies Tree.
We went back to Nandos for lunch.
I simply love the chicken they whipped up.
We walked around the city on our own.
Went to churches and some places of interests.
Then decided to walk back to Fitzroy Gardens to find the Fairies Tree.
We found it alongside with a Mini Village of Tudor.
We headed back to the hotel for a short rest before we headed for Dracula’s Cabaret.
The food was pretty awwwful, but the show was great.
It was really entertaining. The cocktails came with rubber spiders and every purchase of shots came in a shot glass to bring home.
We bought a syringe of Vodka Jelly, the skull stirrer and devil horns.

Day 7

We went to Queen Victoria Market and bought some stuff.
Had a caricature done…which I later left it at Melbourne Airport. Damn sianz.
We visited Old Melbourne Gaol, where Ned Kelly was hanged.
Dropped by the Melbourne Museum.
Lunch at Lygon Street.
Popped by my cousin’s new place.
Wanted to visit the NGV and Aquarium, but they were already closed.
We headed on to Crown Casino.
Checked out the games they had and the huge stakes peeps placed.
The Jackpot seemed addictive.
We walked along Yarra River.
The Ferris Wheel was going really fast, must be freaking cold up there.
We caught sight of an artist on our way back.
He uses bowls, plates and pieces of paper as his stencils and spray paint sceneries.
